CNET editors' buying advice
We have not reviewed this product but here is CNET's buying advice on Laser Printers. This content was chosen based on the features included with this model of laser printer.
Corporate cog
If you need a workhorse that can keep up with your small business or team within a larger organization, a workgroup laser printer is an obvious choice. Designed to juggle multiple print jobs, these systems have faster processors, more memory, and print engines that are capable of churning out more than 20 pages per minute. But these $400-and-up printers are more than souped-up personal lasers; they offer workgroup features, such as network printing, high-capacity toner cartridges, and larger paper input and output trays.

CNET product brief
Description: The HP LaserJet 1320N is a 22 ppm, monochrome workgroup laser printer.Compared to other monochrome workgroup lasers on the market, it is relatively inexpensive at around $400.This unit has a maximum resolution of 1200dpi.
Pros: Only measuring 14" x 14" x 10", this printer is compact and easy to fit into a small office. This product can be plugged directly into a LAN, so it can serve as its own print server. This printer is capable of double-sided, or duplex, printing.
Cons: Only prints at 22 ppm speed. This is not out of line with the product's price, but is slower than the average laser printer on the market today. At 250 sheet, without additional trays, the HP LaserJet 1320N doesn't handle as many printouts between refills than do most of its competitors.
Suitability: Made for those who need high volume black and white printing. This printer is capable of accepting pages up to legal (8.5 in x 14 in).
Value: Overall, this laser printer's features are as expected for this price.
