"Watch Out!"
Pros: Fast when not jamming
Cons: Jamming, paper trays do not work
Summary: After having several issues with the short lived HP 4200 series printers (factory defects). We purchased 5 of this units mainly for the duty cycle and speed.
It took 3 months to resolve an issue with the optional 1500 page paper tray that jammed after just a few pages each time.
Within a few weeks we lost a 500 page tray that was replaced after 6 weeeks.
Before this we had the HP4200's (3) that were sent from the factory with known factory defects with the fusing units. We were down several weeks with these as well.
I accept the fact that things will eventually break down, but it seems this series of printers falls short in both service and parts. Everytime we had an issue the parts were not in stock, on one case I logged 6 hours on a call because each time I called back I had to explain everything to them again.
