  • "Used this workhorse for a year now and is great printer"
    on by bpmansfield

    Pros has a small footprint
the toner actually lasted longer then I had calculated
    very fast printing
I don't do anything of quality on this printer so cannot say as to it.

Cons I don't like the led screen. I was happy to actually have an led screen to see what the printer is telling me, but small size of it means you have to wait for text to scroll by. There is no cancel button. You have to press pause, n scroll to option.

Summary I use several different printers throughout the week, and overall I like this one very much. I was extremely happy the volume I received out of the very small toner cartridge. I like the small footprint of this printer, although having the extra paper tray makes it tall, but that would be another feature I do like about this printer and that's having the additional paper trays and using multiple types of media. I did not like the LED screen. Although at first I was really happy to have an actual screen to see what the printer is telling you, it is small and you have to wait for the text to scroll through. The last downfall is the lack of cancel button. You have to hit pause and then scroll to cancel print job and I find this time consuming and by the time I get through all that the print job is already out because of the Pro of the printer being so speedy!
I use the duplex occasionally and have never had it jam. It is startling at first when you first duplex because the paper almost spits all the way out and then is sucked in for duplexing and if you grab it then it will jam, maybe that's what the other reviewer is talking about.
I rated this a five because it is a feature rich printer, the networking was easy, it is extremely fast, and the toner stunned me as to how long the cartridges have been lasting. Before I bought the printer I calculated how much I would use based on the volume needed and had figured on 3-4 toners a year. I have had this printer over a year (14 months) and just started my third toner and am actually printing more now then what I originally calculated.

  • "quit working in the first month and HP is not support"
    on by RiceEEB

Pros worked well while it lasted

Cons not reliable and HP customer service will not stand behind it

Summary Worked good for the first week, then the formatter went bad and we were instructed to take it to the local authorized repair shop. Three weeks later we?re still waiting for the part. HP customer support is non existent. After three weeks agreed to accept a refurbished replacement but wanted a 1 year warranty, if the refurbished is just as good shouldn?t they stand behind it as well? HP said no go and wanted me to pay to ship the refurbished printer.

So if you want a printer that doesn?t work and like to spend hours on the phone with tech and customer support, buy this printer.

  • "Good printer, but often jams when printing duplex"
    on by BarbecueKing

Pros Fast, good print quality. I was able to buy it for $450 at Staples.

Cons About half the time when I try to print duplex, the paper jams while printing the second side of a page. HP says that they will repair it under warranty, but the most important part needed to fix it is backordered from HP.
