Pros Fast, Quiet, Decent Photos, Printed Network Config on Startup
Cons Unit ships with a 500 page starter cartridge
Summary For the money, this printer is the best in its class. Network ready, web page interface for configuration. I work in the printing industry installing all format sizes of laser printers, and for home use that just needs 8.5x11, there is no better printer. The only printer that comes close in price is the brother, and the quality of the brother does not even come close to comparing to the E120n.
Pros low cost, small foot print, very quiet, works great with a Mac
Cons starter toner cartridge is rated for only about 500 sheets, power switch is in the back
Summary If you need a good, inexpensive laser printer for home use, look at the Lexmark e120n. ($99 at Staples or Office Max). It prints nice (600dpi), fast enough for home use (20ppm), VERY quiet (you can't hear it at all when idling), small footprint and works great with the Mac. It has USB and ethernet, holds about 150 sheets of paper, and has a feeder for envelopes and other odd sizes. Very easy to setup.
The only downsides I found so far is the starter toner cartridge is rated for only about 500 sheets and the power switch in the back. (Replacement toner cartridges are rated at about 2000 sheets.)
"It was that easy?"on by DrStone7
Pros Easy to setup, easy to use, great price, high quality, what else is there
Cons Paper tray is not flush with front of printer
Summary This printer is the easiest network printer I have ever setup in my life (and I spent two years setting up and supporting HP network printers). The process was painless, the printer is fast, the print quality is great. It works just as good as the laser printers I use everyday at work and it is much faster, as well as cheaper.
Don't think you could go wrong here.
Pros Setup - Simple and easy
Reliability - No issue
Duplex - Manual but still acceptable
Speed - Good
Maintenance - miminal
Cons Nothing to complain if compared to other printers for the same price.
Summary Once setup, it is reliable. Just need to change the toner when it run out.
