Corporate cog
If you need a workhorse that can keep up with your small business or team within a larger organization, a workgroup laser printer is an obvious choice. Designed to juggle multiple print jobs, these systems have faster processors, more memory, and print engines that are capable of churning out more than 20 pages per minute. But these $400-and-up printers are more than souped-up personal lasers; they offer workgroup features, such as network printing, high-capacity toner cartridges, and larger paper input and output trays.

CNET product brief
Description: The Lexmark E322n is a 16 ppm, monochrome workgroup laser printer.Compared to other monochrome workgroup lasers on the market, it is relatively inexpensive at around $350.This unit has a maximum resolution of 600dpi.
Pros: At the small size of 15" x14" x9", this printer is easy to use in a small office. This product can be plugged directly into a LAN, so it can serve as its own print server.
Cons: Only prints at 16 ppm speed, which is somewhat slower than some similarly priced lasers. For example, the HP LaserJet 4300, at around $320, prints at 45 ppm speed. Also, this laser printer only has a 3000 pages duty cycle, which is shorter than some similarly priced lasers. For example, the HP LaserJet 5000, a 16 ppm laser printer at around $310, has a 10000 pages duty cycle. At 150 sheet, without additional trays, the Lexmark E322n doesn't handle as many printouts between refills than do most of its competitors. This laser printer does not support duplex printing.
Suitability: A monochrome workgroup laser printer, suited for high volume document printing. This printer can handle legal (8.5 in x 14 in) documents.
Value: In general, this laser printer's features seem a bit weak, even for its relatively inexpensive price.
