The QMS 4032 ImageServer is designed for high speed image file format printing. It provides high-performance image file decompression for TIFF and CALS file formats using CCITT Group 3 and 4 compression directly on the QMS Crown print controller. The QMS Crown controller architecture also processes multiple image file formats and standard page description languages automatically. This provides a complete image printing solution without the need for additional hardware. In addition to its high print speed, resolution, and paper capacity, the QMS 4032 ImageServer's built-in IDE hard drive and Ethernet interface make it ideal for medium to large networked workgroups. Its 200,000 page/month duty cycle rating is evidence of its dependability and durability. The QMS 4032 ImageServer sets up easily, thanks to its auto-installing software utilities. It uses paper, transparencies, labels, envelopes and thick stock, and two 500-sheet universal paper cassettes plus a 50-sheet multipurpose tray keep plenty of paper on hand. Other paper handling options include a 2,500-sheet high-capacity input feeder, a duplexer and a 100-piece envelope feeder. Or take care of big print jobs with the optional 2,000-sheet high-capacity output Stackler that offsets copies and staples up to 50 sheets. The built-in internal IDE hard disk provides for fonts and forms storage, job spooling, accounting and expanded virtual memory. Printer-based document processing means that users can do thumbnail, booklet, and background printing, as well as job accounting. And printer-based electronic collation stores the print job at the printer level, freeing the host system and increasing user productivity. Users are able to check printer status through a Web browser with QMS CrownView. Just a click of the mouse shows print job and consumables status, plus printer configurations. Or get to the QMS home page for online help if problems arise. The CrownAdmin 3 printer management software offers real-time printer status retrieval, remote printer configuration, and sophisticated print control capabilities for Windows and UNIX environments. The QMS Print Monitors for Windows 95/98 and NT route print jobs straight to the printer from the host computer with out using the print server to reduce network traffic. With standard printer emulations of PostScript Level 2, PCL 5e/GL2, HP-GL 7475A/7550/Draftmaster and Line printer, the QMS 4032 ImageServer is equipped for most printing environments.
