"An excellent printer" By RickTM

Pros: I've been using this for a year now and have been very pleased with the product: nice sharp print, easy wireless connection to two computers in the house, toner saver does help, and duplexing works perfectly.

Cons: Mac software needs work -- it works okay, but it is not up to Apple's higher standards.

Summary: I recommend this printer highly based on near daily use. Per page print costs are very low, especially when facotring in toner save mode for drafts and duplexing to cut down on paper costs.

"Paper Jams everyday!! Used in our school lab - bad buy!" By jazzyb2

Pros: Price tag is attractive - beware it = cheap

Cons: Not heavy duty, the paper draw is very cheap and does not slide easily. A lab of 29 computers with one or two page print outs seems to cause paper jams and mis-feeds. We have had this less than a year. Looking to replace it with an HP.

Summary: Don't buy this printer for the price tag if you want multiple jobs and volume copies.

Which printer is right for me?

Laptop Finder

Choosing the right printer can be a daunting task. There are several different types of printing technology to choose from, each suited for different needs. Printers come in all shapes and sizes, from tiny travel companions to workgroup workhorses; some are geared toward photographers, others are for multitaskers. And the many specifications for resolution and speed can be misleading. As a rule of thumb, inkjet printers are a must for long-lasting photos, while laser printers are best to produce speedy text documents.

We've compiled a handful of typical user experiences that should help outline what type of printer is right for you. Chances are, you'll fall somewhere in between two or more of these archetypes, so carefully consider what you'll be using your new printer for.
