Pros: 1. Fast printing speed
2. Papers dont curl up after print
3. Idiot-proof set up and daily use
4. Very affordable for home and office use

Cons: 1. Can get quite warm, even after printing 2-3 pages
2. Rather noisy
3. Size is still a tad bigger than competitor (eg. HP Laserjet 1102 series)

Summary: I have both the HP Laserjet 1102 and Xerox Phaser 3124. I must say both printouts are of no much difference; texts are crisp and graphics are sharp and even. However, Xerox still looks quite big and bulky, and the noise level is quite high! HP is much quieter and smaller in size. One thing I like about this Xerox is that the printout papers do not curl up, but this always happens when I use the HP Laserjet. Not sure is it becoz of the heat or the way the paper is being printed out. It becomes difficult to do 2 sided print if the paper is curled up too much, as it tends to get stuck and jam in the printer!

I must say this Xerox is a good overall B&W laser printer for SOHO use, and for the price tag, I could not ask for more. 4 stars.

"Phaser 3124 Driver For Mac" on March 11, 2010 by droitrose

Pros: A great cheap laser printer. If you are using a MAC, you can download an equivalent driver from Samsung. The Samsung ML 2510 uses the exact same driver, I've done this myself. Download it from www.samsung.com, reinstall and change the driver.

Cons: Doesnt print colour.

Pros: Comes with a Windows/Mac OS CD

Cons: CD does not come with Mac printer drivers

Summary: There is no printer driver for Mac users to use this printer. Very strange. If you think a Mac user, either in your company or a visiting client, may need to use this printer at some point in the future, do not buy this printer.
