Cons: Speakers are weak, but anyone who knows monitors should not expect anything more

Summary: I purchased this monitor on sale for $149.99 w/ free shipping from Newegg.com. I'm willing to bet this monitor will blow anything under $375 out of the water. The monitor controls are touch sensitive softly lit simulated buttons(no actual button). I was leery of this technology but so far they have worked perfectly and create a more pleasing appearance than do standard buttons. This monitor is beautiful, piano black, softly sculpted lines, these lightly glowing white controls, sturdy base, yet the image is the best feature.

The monitor is easy to setup and adjust and Acer includes software to assist you in the process. It is a relatively low power consumption for a LCD of this size and sleeps, turns off, and wakes instantly without hesitation and I am using Windows XP.

You can connect gaming consoles to the other two adapters so simultaneously have three peripherals connected without a need to switch cables. The speakers are typical monitor speakers, I do not use them and never intended to.

I have owned this monitor less than one month so cannot speak to the durability of it though it appears solid and well constructed. As with any review I write, it will be updated should any issues develop over time.

As it stands I could not give this monitor a higher recommendation.
