speakers are goodCons: No matte screen is horrible. sorry but the Glossy just isn't what many consumers want.
Summary: While Apple made some nice advancements, their designers chose to look "cool" over function and for this reason it is a monitor to AVOID.

I agree that a matte screen option would be preferable. But you're wrong on what most consumers want. Glossy screens have more vibrant colors and thus sell better in stores. Apple switched to glossy screens because their matte screens were hurting business.
If you know that you will be using the screen in an environment free of bright lights and glare then there is no reason to avoid this monitor or any other glossy screen. -

It seems that with Apple, one size fits all.
Well, I suppose other monitors are indeed better.
