"DVI Input from PC is Beautiful but HDMI looks faded!"
4.0 starson by JamesAndersonJrPros: Slick black shinny surface that is easy to clean, and looks great if you keep your hands off of it after cleaning with dust rag. Decent Image quality on DVI (see Summary).
Cons: A little dim, not LED, and only 60hz refresh rate.
Summary: This is a good monitor if you have sensitive eyes (like one of my blue-eyed friends), but thankfully my eyes are not sensitive to light and I can view very bright things. This monitors brightness is very limited, and clarity is just acceptable for a flat-screen of this size and type. Reliability is excellent(I've had mine for a little over year with no degradation problems. However, the HDMI output on the monitor from my PC is awfully dim, weak, faded, and slightly blurry. I don't know if it is the HDMI/Ethernet cord that is the problem, the HDMI version, or the Monitor, because I really don't think that it is the PC because I just installed a new nVidia GeForce 430 GT video card and the display from HDMI is awful. The DVI though seems to display more brightly and sharper, so I'm still relatively satisfied with this monitor. Colors are bright on DVI, and it is very easy to keep clean. I keep mine clean with a cotton cloth dampened with just a little spray of Pledge Multi Surface Everyday Cleaner I picked up at Wally-World. I knock down one star for the HDMI issue, but overall I think this is an excellent value for the now low price of $159.99.
