"Price drop brings this within reach."
Pros: High Res
High style - looks great in the right space
Great for video edit preview, watching moviesCons: No height adjustment
Summary: We have two of these in our office. The offices are in a high rise. Very bright. I was initially concerned that glare would render them useless. No glare problems.
The speakers are great for normal office apps but a subwoofer would enhance watching movies.
As the editors so clearly stated - this is an expensive monitor even with the current price drop to $600. There are a ton of other 22in widescreen monitors available but none as nice looking as this one. I can't atest to the technical specs of the others. It's easy to despise the Dell Crystal because you think you can't afford it and easy to love it if you think you can. Here's how I see it: When Dell started selling LCD monitors, we were paying $700 for 16 inch Dell LCDs.
This is quite a nice monitor for well-designed office. If you're gaming in your parent's basement or a 5th floor walkup, you don't need this.
