Pros: Outstanding value, spectacular image and color
Cons: very minor - 1 always-on pixel
Summary: I bought this 2007WFP in October 2006. Although I saw complaints about banding in DVI mode from postings in May and June 2006, apparently there was a software upgrade that fixed the problem because I saw no problems whatsoever - just a truely great picture.
However, because I am a graphic professional, I switched the monitor back to VGA mode because of additional adjustments to contrast that are not available in DVI mode - I believe the Auto-Adjust feature is not available in DVI mode, as well, although I have no use for such a thing. (FYI: To my eye and according to my Adobe software, the base monitor setting out-of-the box for brightness was far, far too high although there was no loss in color saturation. This was easily fixed.)
In general, the color is quite accurate and even across the entire screen. Type is exceptionally sharp and crisp, as I would expect. Side-by-side with much higher priced View Sonic and Samsung monitors, the screen is equal or superior. The only very minor flaw in a near flawless monitor is one always-on pixel which is imperceptible unless the area surrounding it is dark and I am doing close work.
