"1 Word - Anti Glare Coating = Terrible"

Cons: ANTI GLARE COATING!
Dark Color representationSummary: I just received this monitor last week March 2012...I use my computer for graphic/web work and my image reproduction has to look flawless on screen. I bought this monitor because I use a Dell 2408 at work and it great. Unfortunately I cannot say the same for my Dell U2410, first off the start the colors were way off and had to get a collaboration software to correct color which was decent but very poor when reproducing dark grey/black colors as well as reds being too bright almost florescent. I was able to deal with these draw backs but after a few hours I noticed a major flaw when looking at white or light backgrounds which looked very fuzzy or grainy as if a noise filter was added to light colors. After much research I've read that many people also have seen this issue and is do to the Anti Glare Coating that Dell uses on there panels.
After trying to adjust brightness or contrast to try to reduce this grainy effect it was useless. I will be sending the monitor back for a refund this week. As a result I would say that that makes this monitor pretty much useless for the graphic or photo industry. Its quite dissappointing that for the money you pay for this monitor the white/light image quality is terrible do to this AG coating. My regular TN samsung display has better image reproduction then this and it also has a AG coating but I guess its not as thick, to bad that its not an IPS monitor though.
Some specs on the monitor its A07 made in Mexico.
I would say avoid if you are a Designer or Photographer.
