Summary: I've researched getting a monitor for a two monitor setup for my iMac for months. I read every review, went to Best Buy ten times to look at monitors and LED/LCD tv's. What will connect to my iMac mini-DVI port? Forget LED. The IPS, which is what Apple uses, is excellent. I bought the Apple mini-DVI-D to DVD-D connector for $19.95. I had my fingers crossed. I just plugged in the Monitor and turned on my computer and....everything worked perfectly. The only thing I did was to turn down the brightness a little because it is a very bright screen. With FCP, I enlarged the canvas window to fill the Dell screen to see what would happen. When I play my video in the timeline, I can now really see what my video will look like on my clients big screen. It's amazing. Yes, I recommend this monitor highly. My only regret is that I couldn't afford the U2711. But, this size matches my 24" iMac and it's a huge help.
