"Incredible productivity - I'm addicted"
Pros: Great for business and would love to have one at home
Cons: It's not cheap
Summary: It was a hard pill for me to swallow because of the price. My friend had the 17in doublesight monitor, but you know how guys are about size. I just had to out do him by two inches, I have to say since there are two monitors, that would make it 4 inches. Enough boasting and let's get down to the nitty gritty.
I don't know about the CNET review, but I really love this monitor. It was quite easy for me to install, but maybe I know more about computers than the average CNET editor or maybe he thinks that most people are stupid. I has one stand, bolts that attach the monitor to the stand, and 2 power cables. The video inputs on the back of the monitor are connected to the video card and then the magic happens. By the way I have a decent Matrox dual head video card and I don't know what others are using, but the picture is incredible. I cant tell you about grayscale shading and shadowing and all that stuff, but the picture is very clear and bright to me. I am the envy of the office with my dual 19s. After turning it on, it takes some time getting used to. It is overwhelming and at first and I thought I had oversized my monitors, but really this is America. I had to live by the motto, "Bigger is better!" so I sucked it up and got thru it.
Now i am totally addicted to these monitors. I have my email, accounting program, AIM, and internet explorer all going at the same time at work. I totally feel that productivity has gone at work. I would never be able to use a single monitor again unless it was 26 inches or larger. Unfortunately after work I have to go home to my 19 LCD at home and I feel it is so small. I wish these things were cheaper, I would have one at home too.
