Summary I've owned this monitor for 2 yrs 1 month and though Im not sure the usual length of time a monitor lasts, I've owned CRT monitors for 5 or more years without problems. This one started experiencing problems which I have to turn it off and on (today was 10 times) continuously before it'll stay on. Otherwise it turns off after coming on. The green light remains lit, which the company told me indicates its the monitor problem, not the video card, and I need to replace the monitor.

I really wish I'd known this, because I'd owned CRT's and never had the monitor run out before having to get a new computer. As I mentioned, this was my first LCD monitor, so I don't know if this is commonplace or not. Once the computer is finally on, I have no problems, but Im just afraid one of these times the computer won't come on at all, so now I must go out and purchase a new monitor for a computer that still runs after 2 yrs and 1 month.

Summary I juss bought one of these a few months ago with my g5 powermac and hooked up though my dvi and it works great shows colors so smooth and crisp and clear. im a graphic arts student and every color i see on screen comes out on print great versatality with the way the monitor moves and an overall great value.

Pros Price, can't beat it.Much brighter than my old monitor.

Cons My unit has little rivers of blurriness on it. Where this blurriness isn't the picture is great. I'll return this unit as it may be defective.

Pros I've needed an LCD for some time. I got this one on special for $229 and I was unable to avoid purchasing an LCD any longer. You won't be disapointed.
