"Envison some quality control"
Pros: Bought at local store for only 130 bucks, nice picture
Cons: Stuck BLUE pixle right in the middle of screen, lots of white around edges.
Summary: Bought this baby (G918W1) from the store, you can figure out which one I think, for $130 on sale and figured it had better contrast and response time than some of the other ones so I figured I 'd give it a shot. I had read other reviews about others taking them back multiple times because of dead/stuck pixels right out of the box but I thought I would be more lucky than that. NOT! Granted it's only one pixel but it was right in the middle of the screen, and it was a bright blue. Once you notice it, it's all your eyes can focus on. Granted 130 bucks isn't much relative to other flat panel lcds, and I know this type of thing happens to them but it's 130 bucks for something that is shaddy quality right out of the box...come on...
Another note...if you buy this guy, don't attach it to it's base right away as it is a beast to remove if you need to return it/exchange it.
