Pros: Excellent sharp and crisp details. Very good colours before the back light goes.
Cons: The brightness (the back light) deteriorates very quickly -- mine lasted 6 months and now the whites (and subsequently all colours) have become dull and greyish. Eizo says that the back light is expected to deteriorate and is not covered by the warranty.

Pros: Upgraded from SyncMaster 191T, seeking smaller dot pitch to reduce eye strain on poorly formed text characters and too fuzzy ClearType. I purchased the Dell 2001 FP 'Ultra' but could not tolerate the screen door effect over areas of solid color (like the

"Image superior to anything else"
Pros: We have a number of Viewsonic VP211b's and VX2000's. We thought those images were good, but compared to the Eizo, there is no comparision. If you can afford it, buy it.
Cons: Small control buttons on panel. The usb immage control software took several tries to install, but once working properly, remembers your pre-defined settings (color temp, hue, etc.) for each application as you switch to it.

"Expensive, but worth every penny!"
Pros: Picture quality is what this screen is all about. I was a bit aprehensive about plunking down this much cash for a monitor I had to order without seeing, but I have not seen a better quality picture on any other monitor at any price
Cons: Would like some more height to the adjustment, and there is no lock or tactile feel to indicate when screen is perfectly horizontal. Minor inconveniences.
