"Great monitor, very bright, rotates, HDMI input can be used as HDTV"
Pros: Great monitor, very bright, rotates, HDMI input can be used as HDTV
Cons: None that I am aware of
Summary: This monitor is beautiful.
I have a 30-inch Dell monitor which is extremely nice, but the display on the Gateway is even nicer.
It's brighter, clearer.
I also have an HP 2335 23-inch LCD which I thought was as good as they get, but the Gateway FHD2400 24-inch LCD puts it to shame.
The Gateway monitor makes my HP monitor look old, dull and worn out.
I turned up the brightness on my 30-inch Dell and my 23-inch HP monitors to try and get closer to the brightness of the Gateway.
The Gateway monitor has lots of inputs including an HDMI input.
Not that I have done it, but this means that I could hook my AppleTV up to it and us it as an High Definition TV if somebody was watching something else on my big plasma TV and I wanted to watch something on my Apple TV.
The response time on the Gateway is 3 ms. It does not matter to me, but I would think that faster is better.
The monitor also rotates 180 degrees.
The monitor is very easy to adjust up-and-down, or to change the angle.
The monitor stand also sits on a pivot point which makes it very easy to swivel left or right.
I looked for reviews on the Gateway monitor, but had a hard time finding them.
I almost bought a used Dell 24-inch LCD for $500, but I'm glad I did not.
I got this monitor from J&R Music for $530 with free shipping.
I can't imagine a nicer 24-inch monitor.
I highly recommend this monitor.
