"Worth Every Penny" on by OregonTrail
Pros: Perfect - Clean, Clean, No Flicker - makes it a joy to work
Cons: None; there are simply no negatives.
Summary: I love this monitor. I few months back I bought a Samsung. Everyone was saying get either ViewSonic or Samsung. When I went to Circuit City, they did not have ViewSonic (which I like). I got the Samsung. What a mistake. I then needed a second monitor for my job and went to Fry's. The 24" was too pricey; but my Samsung was the same size so I had an idea of what the monitor would be like in terms of size. But, in terms of performance and clarity, the Samsung can't hold a candle to the Gateway. I've always had a great experience with Gateway and this just reaffirms it. Easy to set up; what monitor isn't. But the picture of this Gateway is just awesome! Whether you are using it for HD display or not, the picture is simply perfect. The design, controls are great. It's a perfect monitor! And, no, I am not an employee of Gateway nor do I own their stock.

"Can You Say "Color Banding"?" on by mhughes57
Pros: Great colors and love the large display.
Cons: Terrible Color Banding
Summary: I'm not a computer wiz at all so when I started having these color bands covering my screen, I had no idea what it was. By the time I researched the problem online and figured out what it was, my warranty had run out. When I turn on the computer, these color bands start at the bottom and rise all the way to the top of the screen. After about 10 minutes, these bands will drop down halfway so that you can see part of the screen. Then after about another 10-15 minutes, the bands will drop completely down so you can see the whole screen. Once the bands have dropped and you continue working on the computer, they never come back. However, if you leave the computer for a while & come back, the bands will go up halfway on the screen again. I haven't bothered with Gateway tech support and just researched the problem myself. Now I'm looking at buying another brand of monitor!

"In my opinion, problematic to say the least!" on by davidrrt1
Pros: quality of imaging is great when the monitor is working
Cons: Monitor stopped working after a month. Called support and received a replacement with the same issues. Contacted support again and this time received a damaged monitor which stopped working. After 3 times of this BS, I finally gave up.Dissatisfied
Summary: Don't buy. The product is not reliable and their service is not very customer friendly. They send you used or refurbished monitors to replace your brand new monitor which happened to stop working.

"Research color banding before you buy this monitor!!" on by doubledowntowin
Pros: Nice colors, Large Display.
Cons: HORRIBLE COLOR BANDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Summary: If you are not ok with serious color banding of all colors.....Then don't buy this monitor. Research hd2200 reviews and issues of color banding before you buy this monitor. The colors are great... I personally can't stand having a 2600$ gaming computer and have horrible graphics. Returned it to gateway and received a new monitor with the same issue, and as an added bonus the touchpanel on the new monitor didn't function. First monitor the touch panel was fine, not on the refurbished one. Gateway support is horrible. 10 day turnaround time turned into 31 days. I was told that even though the refurbished monitor was defective upon delivery that I would have to pay shipping again to have it repaired. To sum it up...don't buy this monitor

"nice monitor on clearence at BB for 202" on by scottiex
Pros: very bright, mult inputs (vga, hdmi, dvi, and component) PiP. You can run pc, xbox, and tv through this at same time. This monitor is great. No speaker (to me a plus), Got on clearence at BB for 202.00.
Cons: some back light bleeding
Summary: features size and price at 202 made this a no brainer. I would recommend to a friend.
