"Amazing quality, terrible life-span." on by Bugs6968

Pros: -Amazing color and quality for the price
    -Sleek design
    -Lightweight

Cons: -HD setting is fairly low resolution
-"Dies" faster than anything I can imagine

Summary: When I first set up my display, I was amazed by the quality. For the price I paid, I had expected much less. I was running dual displays with the 2009m as my primary. But after about four months, I was no longer able to turn it on. I have never even moved it from its current position, so there was no possibility of me damaging the power unit. Occasionally, the power connection "fixes" itself and I am able to turn it on, and I now leave it on to prevent this problem. HP sent me a replacement monitor and I was to return my initial one withing 15 days. As I write this review, it is day 3, and the MENU button of the replacement monitor is shorting out. The screen rapidly flashes from menu>brightness menu>(highlights cancel)>main menu>(closes) and repeats, very quickly until it finally locks out and displays a constant "OSD LOCKOUT" box. I have to tape the menu button down just to keep the menu off the screen.
In conclusion, for its price, quality is excellent. But is horribly manufactured, and I would HIGHLY recommend against purchasing this monitor.

"Fantastic, superb, terriffic, awesome, fabulous." on by acmanjeff

Pros: Very clear and sharp picture. Im finnally getting the most out of my NVidia GXSR video card. Dark darks, bright whites, no screen lag, great for gamming. The picture is so clear and vivid.

Cons: Stand is to short. Glare on screen from window light.

Summary: What a great buy for the money. Compair to other brands of simalar prices and there is no comparison. Easy to install. Vivid, clear, sharp images and fast response time.Wide screen is perfect for dual windows and clear HD videos.

One other con.. Dont expect to get great sound out of the built in speakers but I think this is common for monitor speakers.

"A Good Deal" on by espera3

Pros: I bought two of these monitors from Wal-Mart and I've owned them for almost 2 years without any problems.
Primary usage is more screen space for my 3D applications, Maya and Softimage, but I occasionally play games and watch DVDs with them.

    Cons: None so far

"Died after 8 months" on by Fiddy70

Pros: I was rapid with this montior when I first got it get value for money...... so I thought

Cons: Was using Excel this monitor was running as a secondary unit off of my laptop it started to burn smoke and immense heat from the back.

Summary: Serously makes me wonder what might have happened if the monitored failed while no one was home, to make this even more concerning is that the monitor still actually works but emits a foul smell and immense heat so the I assume the overload circuit either doesn't exist or has failed also. The monitor has always run off of the same filtered power supply as my desktop pc and that continues to work faultlessly as it has for the past 3 years.
