"Excellent brightness, very good clarity, quality finish"4.0 starson by higgo91
Pros: Brightness adjustability good enough for darkest or brightest rooms, exceptional colour range, sleek looks being just 25mm thick, rear facing HDMI VGA and DVI makes installation very easy
Cons: No height adjustment, off colours when viewed even on slight angles both vertical and horizontal, slight flickering sometimes noticable under fluorescent light
Summary: Bought this monitor for general use as well as gaming on a hd6870 graphics card. Games look absolutley brilliant, colours are spot on and the 25" screen seems a very easy to view size.
Standard sharpness was quite high and made letters unequal in thickness, easily fixed with some quick settings changes. Settings very easy to navigate using the buttons mounted on the bottom right hand corner of the bezel.
Due to the retina singeing brightness of the 2511x, reading long passages of texts can quickly become tiresome.
Whites are as brilliant as I've ever experienced and blacks are extremely solid as well. Bluray movies are epic on this monitor and the slighty off colours at angles is really not an issue.
The low refresh rate of just 60hz is a little dissappointing in games and often leads to tearing of the images in RAGE and Dirt 2 on max settings, but this can be fixed using the vsync setting so (i believe) its not entirely the monitors fault.
Overall, an excellent monitor at a very reasonable price of $270, great brightness, excellent for movies and videos, not so brilliant for reading on and a low refresh rate means hardcore gamers should probably look elsewhere
