HP launches its "Advantage" line of monitors, including the LA2306x, LA2006x, LA2206x. Each has WLED backlighting.

The advantage in the case of this monitor, is love...actually, no. It's LED backlights. Yes, LED backlights.

HP continues to offer support for the business monitor space and today announced two new lineups of displays, the "Advantage" line and the "Essential" line.

The LA06, or Advantage, line includes the 20-inch LA2006x, 22-inch LA2206x, and the 23-inch LA2306x. Each has WLED backlighting, along with the following features:

  • 16:9 resolutions: 1,920x1,080 pixels (LA2306x), 1,600x900 pixels(LA2006x)
  • Height adjustment
  • 35-degree back tilt
  • 90-degree pivot
  • Swivel
  • VGA, DVI, and DisplayPort connectivity
  • Two-port USB hub
  • VESA mount compatibility
  • Brightness: 250 cd/M2
  • Contrast ratio: 1,000:1
  • Response time: 5ms

All three of the Advantage monitors look to have the features necessary to stand out in the business monitor category, in particular, WLED backlighting and DisplayPort support. We'll have pricing info soon.
