"Exact same monitor as NEC LCD2180UX" on
Pros: Everything good that applies to the excellent NEC-Mitsubish LCD2180UX applies to this monitor, because it is the same monitor.

"The Best panel around." on
Pros: I just got the New 321 LCD panel form LaCie after drooling over it for 2 months and I can tell you it was worth it. I work for a prepress company and our Lacie CRTs were old and fading. So we ordered 5 panels to replace our current Lacie CRTs. We work
Cons: It's a tad expensive, but it's still alot cheaper that a 10bit EIZO LCD panel.

"Great color and sharpness" on by Loesath
Pros: dead-on accurate color, cool look, ample inputs
Cons: extremely difficult to attach hood, worst documentation of any product I've ever owned, stuck pixel right in the middle of the screen
Summary: I bought the LaCie to soft proof images that I print on a Roland HiFi Jet Pro. I also purchased the Blue Eye Pro calibration device. Together, they provide me with perfectly accurate colors, so the bottom line is that it does the job I intended it to do supurbly. But on such an expensive piece of equipment, it really bothers me that the hood is designed so poorly and is exceedingly difficult to attach. And I'm bothered even more that the PDF file manual is the skimpiest, least informative manual I've ever had the displeasure of reading. If I had it all to do over again, I think I would have spent the extra several hundred bucks and bought the Eizo Flexscan 997.
