"Exact same monitor as NEC LCD2180UX"
Pros: Everything good that applies to the excellent NEC-Mitsubish LCD2180UX applies to this monitor, because it is the same monitor.
Cons: This is the same monitor as the NEC-Mitsubishi LCD2180UX; it has simply been rebranded by Lacie and colored blue. It also costs hundreds more than the 2180UX, and is backed by Lacie's lately tarnished support reputation. NEC Europe has introduced a produc

I can't verify what the author of this point says. Although, a side by side comparison show a difference in specs for the two monitors. At places like Powermax the price difference between the two monitors is less than $20 bucks. In fact, I think the same might be true through CNET's preferred vendors.
