I recently purchased this monitor and am very sorry that I did. In less than 2 months, it developed a dead pixel near the center of the screen that is very noticeable. I attempted several times to contact LG for a warranty replacement, only to be put on hold for several minutes by the automated system and then be hung up on. I sent an email using their web site and got no response. Finally, I was able to reach them via chat.
What the representative told me was that there are only two cases in which they will replace a monitor with dead pixels: 1) if the pixels are found within 2 inches of the frame, then there must be 4 dead pixels before they will replace it, or 2) if there are 2 dead pixels nearer to the center of the screen, they will replace it.
So, that's it. After two months, I have a defective monitor that supposedly has a one year warranty, but they won't replace it (because my monitor only had one dead pixel), which shows they don't support their products.
Another thing that I noticed after a while is that my 5 year old cheap Samsung monitor has a much clearer picture than the LG.
I don't think I'll ever be buying any LG product again in my lifetime!
