"Mediocre Monitor"
2.5 starson by CopperankhPros: Very thin profile, the monitor looks very sleek and takes up very little space on the desk. The menu for the monitor is easy to browse through as well. The blue LED power indicator can be turned off.
Cons: Flimsy stand, this thing will jiggle and rock easily, but it won't tip over at least. The colors are either too bright or too dull.
Summary: As much as I hated to do it, I returned this monitor days after I got it. Though it was easy to set up and put together and looked nice from a design aspect, the picture was just too atrocious. The monitor's menu offered very little help correcting color saturation and gamma, leaving everything blindingly vivid, or horribly dull.
I eventually had to use my video card's settings to help improve the color, but every time I put it up against my laptop or the television that acts as my extended monitor, none of the colors looked right.
Thankfully, I did not spend too much on this monitor, though I can see why it's on sale. I just wish I would have read the CNET review before I bought this. I've learned my lesson, that's for sure.
