"Great monitor but needs better on-screen controls"4.5 starson by SactoGuy018
Pros: Excellent picture quality--very sharp graphics at 1600x900 resolution, decently bright, excellent rendition of colors
Cons: Display may be a bit small for some users (graphics in 1600x900 mode can look a tad small), and on-screen display can be tricky to use if you're not used to touch sensitive controls instead of pressing real buttons
Summary: For a small desktop space, the W2053TQ is a top-notch monitor, especially the very sharp quality of the graphics at 1600x900 resolution and the excellent color quality. I do agree with CNET's reviewer, especially since the touch-sensitive controls can be a bit tricky to use, especially for people with larger fingers.
Despite the ergonomic issues, the W2053TQ does a great job of playing back movies. I've seen Blu-ray movie playback from a computer with a BD-ROM/DVD burner drive through the DVI-D connection and the sharpness of picture from the Blu-ray disc came through very clearly, even with "The Dark Knight," where the night scenes were rendered very clearly in all its high-definition glory.
