Summary This (2005 model) monitor got a bad rap. I have had this sitting side-by-side a NEC LCD1760NX (2004 model) and then a NEC LCD1960NXi (2004 model) and I can't see the difference that would rate this one lower than either of the other two, and MacWorld still rates these older NECs very highly. Plus it now has speakers on the NXM version and can be bought for less than $300 from some online stores. So save yourself over $100 from the other 17" LCDs rated here.
