"NEC beat the competition in CNET tests for only $20 more!"
Pros: Outdistanced the 2407WFP-HC
Cons: Read the details of the CNET reviews!
Summary: I'm confused by the CNET review of this monitor. The only con is "minor performance gains for an expensive price tag." So CNET says it outdistanced the prime competitors in this space, but only rates it a 7.0? The price difference is only $20 ($699.99 for the Dell 2407WFP-HC and $719.99 for the NEC).
The NEC monitor had 17% better contrast and 4% better results in DisplayMate test. That a pretty strong contrast advantage.
The price difference is $20 and the NEC beat all the competition in the CNET tests and it only gets a 7.0 because those advantages aren't worth $20?
