DVD image quality is average for an LCD, with small but noticeable defects, such as visibly fluctuating pixels in movie backgrounds and fuzzy-looking details. On the positive side, sound quality from the 230W5VS's pair of three-watt-per-channel, built-in speakers is excellent.
