Pros: The image is nice, and the price was right.
Cons: Fairly low contrast ratio means some blacks and highlights are squashed - a problem for image editing, and some program's on-screen hilighted buttons and prompts are hard to see.

"100% thumbs up. That says it all."
Pros: Great monitor. Works perfectly. Great for games too. Love it.
Cons: It wasn't free ;-)

Pros: This is defiantly a very bright monitor. If I turn the brightness above 50% it starts to hurt my eyes. You could probably use it outside on a sunny day without any major problems with glare. The viewing angle looks like a CRT. The price is excellent. I do
Cons: As you turn up the brightness the viewing angle gets more noticeable.

Pros: I looked for my first LCD for some time. Then I stumbled upon the CNET review for the PE170. It fit the bill - inexpensive, and outstanding display quality. I'm a geek and a demanding one with a limited budget. The Planar fits the bill - I want great
Cons: Uninspired design is perhaps the only weak spot - but all is forgiven when you use it and when you consider how little you paid for it.

"Great value, crisp and bright"
Pros: I can't imagine a better looking 17inch LCD? Bright, great contrast and reasonable response time. Maybe the NEC 1765 is more vivid but at least $100 more. No dead pixels
Cons: Not to sexy, viewing angles are not very good? Have to order online.
