Pros: Good monitor for the price if you catch it on sale. Great image quality, good enough for everyday computer use. You can connect two separate devices, like a computer and a game console to it at the same time and automatically switch between them.

Cons: On a scale of 1 to 10, the sound quality is at best a 4. There is no headphone jack so you won't be able to pipe the sound out to a better set of speakers. There is no height adjustment with the included stand.

Summary: I use this monitor as a 2nd monitor for my computer and have it connected to my XBOX 360. It automatically switches to the HDMI port when I turn the XBOX on, and automatically switches back to the DVI port when I turn the computer on. I have absolutely no complaints about the image quality. This images look just as good on this monitor as it does on my Dell 24" monitor that I paid twice as much for 5 years ago. I would have really liked another Dell monitor with all the fancy features, but with a sale price just over $200, I couldn't pass this Planar monitor up.

Connecting with HDMI or DVI cables allows full 1920 x 1080 graphics mode on my computer. When connecting with VGA cable, my computer says the monitor only supports 1680 x 900 (Recommended) or 1680 x 1050 (max).

My XBOX auto detects it as 1080p. The XBOX video quality looks better on this monitor than it does when connected to my 720p/1080i 46" RCA TV.
