"Buy ANY other flat panel than this one!" on by Deadpool5
Pros: Nice size screen, bright, DVI hookup
Cons: Cheap peice of crap, and will break just after limited warranty!
Summary: I cannot urge you more to avoid any and all Princeton monitors. This thing had issues from the beginning with bad speakers, and just 11 days after the warranty expires, it begins to flash on and off, over and over. Repairing it turned out to be easy. I could have paid $150 to fix it, or just go buy a better brand. Sorry piece of ****.

"Horrible product, substandard support" on by Flameout07
Pros: It works okay in the short term
Cons: Has very short lifespan, no recourse other than buy a new monitor
Summary: I have two Princeton Graphics Monitors, a VL1918 purchased in March of 2006 and a VL1916 purchased in April of 2005. The VL1918 last 2 years and 6 days and then went out. The VL1916 did a bit better and lasted 3 years and 1 month. I called Princeton Graphics tech support and they said it is out of warranty, they cannot do anything, and flat panel monitors only have a 2 to 3 year lifespan anyway. I think that is probably true if the brand is Princeton Graphics, but not for other brands. I have a Dell flat screen that was manufactured on June 2003, so it is 5 years old at this time. One article I read indicated "LCDs are cheaper as they are known to have a longer lifespan and also a lower power consumption." Princeton Graphics doesn't even have an e-mail address to forward complaints, although they do have tech support, but they are simply not very helpful. Save your money and avoid any Princeton Graphics products.
