Excellent LCD for Performance vs Valueby Expidia - February 26, 2005
Pros: Sleek looking, No dead pixels, Lock slot
Cons: No L to R swivel base, No Speakers (junk anyway)
Review:
I've read the speakers in most low end monitors are junk anyway. I use my $30 Powered Sony's with it. No DVI but I don't play games. I bought it for my office. As another poster said for $279 (with no rebate) at a Staples retail store, it's a steal. 14 day return policy anyway, no 15% open box return fee like CompUSA purchases. BEWARE the salesman (Albany NY) clearly was lying about the Proview warranty. He said $99 from Staples is better, that the $39 Proview warranty in the box only covers dead pixels. Staples must compensate them to push their ridiculously priced warranty which should only be 10% of price. But do buy the $39 Proview warranty which will give you 3 years protection and a bottom line price of approx. $318 for an excellent monitor.

I will stick to my CRT for now.by - February 23, 2005
Pros: This display is average at best. Aside from the great price and big size, the monitor represents a very average analog LCD.
Cons: The fact that the unit does not have DVI is a big deal. Overall, the image is fuzzy and the colors are just ok. Forget about doing any kind of image editing or color calibration work. This unit does not deliver in color accuracy. With respect to playing
