"Good for viewing movies"
Pros: High resolution, good contrast and luminosity, nice desing on the front, clear image.
Cons: Bad standard configured presets for colours, only 1 DVI connector on the back
Summary: I first bought this monitor after seeing it at one of my colleagues. I really like it's front panel display and the size of it is huge. Despite many reviews I do considder this a very good monitor for design and media plus the gaming experience is excelent.
The power led flashes like crazy when in stand by mode.
Bad vertical viewing angle, though placed in a good position it won't be noticeable.
It is quite anoying the fact that HDMI connector will cause you many problems since the monitor's optimum display is 1900x1200 and therefore you will have some issues when setting it up with a 1080 compliant device.
It's adjustability is really good and despite it's size it won't take up much space on your desk.
The first thing to do when you buy this monitor is to start tweaking the colour settings since the presets that come by default are terrible.
Another thing that I considder anoying is the flashing led on the front panel. It has quite high intensity and it keeps flashing like crazy. It is really unconfortable and eventually it will drive you to turn of completely the monitor eventually if you have to stay with it in your face for too long.
I really recommend it to anyone who is a fan of big displays. It's a good value especially because its price is affordable. I only wish they'd make these in crystal clear (glossy) displays.
