The SyncMaster 171P's contemporary looks combined with terrific image quality and useful features make it well worth its somewhat high price. It's a good choice for image-conscious businesses or well-heeled home users.

| In both analog and digital modes, the Samsung's image quality was good on Web pages, text screens, and images. Text was crisp, save for some slight fuzziness in the corners. The SyncMaster 171P displays graphics at a speedy 25ms pixel-response rate, though we saw occasional ghosting and minor color distortion when playing a DVD with frenetic action scenes. |
