4.5 starsonSummary: I don't understand all the bad reviews on this monitor. This is a great monitor - no complaints from me...but it was a little pricier then the competition. After looking at ViewSonics, Hitachi & Sony, the 171P was as good as the Apple 17" LCD I have at home but with a 3 yr warranty. I'm not passionate towards any one brand. I shop for quality first, warranty second and price third. Samsung had the best quality, a terrific warranty including a no tolerance for bad pixels and the price was....reasonable. As I said, it cost a little more but as in life, you get what you pay for. I highly recommend looking at this monitor before making a purchase. I'm just perplexed why there were so many bad reviews on this monitor. If your monitor isn't a Samsung or Apple, you've settled for less.
