Samsung SyncMaster 204B

Pros: cheap; decent image; decent tech support

Cons: dies in less than one year, digital input flashes intermittently

Summary: I had three of these. I immediately discovered that if I used the digital input the image would blink on and off occassionally. The solution from Samsung tech support - "don't use the digital input". That's not acceptble. Then, all three stopped working after about 9 months (within a few weeks of each other). The solution from Samsung tech support - replace them free of charge with refurbished units (one had a big scratch on the bezel, another has a lot of dead pixels). Overall, a very unpleasant experience. One of the three replacements recently died (again) and I just replaced it with a ViewSonic VP2030b which has a better image and so far it is working perfectly with a digital input.
