Summary: Had the monitor for just over one year....That was the only good part. Samsung was contacted about the dead pixil problem back on 9/2007....It is now 12/2007 and they have sent me two remaufactured 204B monitors both of which were defective within 6 hours. Customer service is the worst.....I was told at one point that they were refunding me my purchase. The catch to this is.......It takes 4 to 6 weeks and they subtract fees totaling $69.00 from original purchase....What a Rip-Off! So you know what I told them No-Way! SEND ME ONE THAT WORKS......They said okay....The problem is that was over 3 weeks ago. I called customer service and they have to email another department and will get back with me. They never call me back......This has happened over three times....So I call them back for status. Total number of calls at least a dozen if not more. Total time on the phone so far including (on-hold) more than 8 hrs!!! I will kept updating the status of my situation for all to see. I am encouraging everyone with similar problems to post thier specifics...........Let the truth be told>>> Avoid Samsung like the PLAGUE> Its not worth the headache!!!Updated
Last contact with Samsung ECR Department on 12/1/2007: I followed the instructions from the representative. Well guess what...They did not process anything....including no call back....and did not sent replacement monitor! On 12/18 I called Samsung ECR Dept......Customer Serv. Rep.......She said oops and sent out the third Factory Fresh refurbished monitor. It arrived 12/24/2007. On 12/25/2007 it was installed and guess what? Right out of the box it had a dead pixal...and after just 15 minutes the monitor started blinking on and off every two seconds in its native resolution. It did operate ok at less than native resolution....but that's not okay with me!!! The monitor was returned 12/26. PROBLEMS CONTINUE WITH SAMSUNG...... Warranty and refurbished monitors......being non-functional right out of the box!!! This makes Total of three monitors that have failed up to this point right out of the box...... Look for the next update........I have lost all faith in Samsung........Do not buy Samsung.....U will be sorry like me!
