"Poor Samsung Customer Service" on by antespam.com
Pros: 204T looked great for the 2 years, 7 months that it worked
Cons: 204T died with a blank screen & intermittent flashes of output.
Summary: Samsung claimed a 3-year warranty on the 204T. However I have completed their web site email notice form twice now over the past month and have heard nothing from them. I just want to get the monitor repaired. But if I do not hear back soon, I will just replace it and never purchase another Samsung product.

"Problem free monitor in my case" on by quahogwi
Pros: Going on what, 5 years now? I haven't had a single problem with it. A very stable monitor. Can't find a thing to complain about whether it's hooked up to my desktop tower or to one of my laptops.
Cons: Sometimes I wish it was lighter and slimmer, but that's about all.
Summary: For me it's been virtually flawless. I'd get another.

"5 years, not a pixel lost" on by kdcoldiron
Pros: Have loved this monitor since I got it. Ne'er a problem, and I've used it all day every day for about 5 years now, constantly switching between an analog and DVI input with the 2 PC's I have connected to it.
Cons: Nada. Zippo.
Summary: I even like the 4:3 dimensions better than the widescreens out today because I prefer more vertical space than horizontal. I'd have to get a 24"+ monitor today to get the 1200 vertical pixels.
This monitor has never let me down, made me a Samsung fan (although they went down several notches last year when they blocked my LN46B650T1F-XZA 46" TV with Yahoo Widgets from getting the Netflix widget...still ticked off about that one!). -
"Absolutely nothing wrong with mine!" on by MacMachanik
Pros: ? Fine picture quality, excellent for DTP and Photoshop work.
? Video and S-Video input, great for camera or other picture/video devices.
? Solid stand with huge amount of adjustability compared to most other displays.Cons: ? Over 60 watts of power to operate, newer displays are close to half that, but that in understandable.
Summary: I have two of these hooked up to my Mac, after calibrating the the colour is identical on both of them.
The picture is fine and smooth, much better quality when when compared to two newer displays we have.
Two of these 204T's have been hooked up to my Mac for about 6 years now with not a day of trouble.
I have been very happy with them and see no reason not to be loyal to Samsung in the future. Great product. -
"I totally disagree..." on by timyoung88
Pros: It's been a great monitor for nearly 3 years, I've come across the same issue as most of you. The difference is I know that a blinking screen means a 1.99 at radioshak and about 30 mins of my time. VIOLA! new monitor!
Cons: Samsun needs to stop using SAMXON cap's, thats the only con. the SAMXON Inverter filter capacitor is simply to big for the job its doing. and over time it wears out other components.
Summary: Do yourself some good, save yourself hundreds of dollars and learn how to use a soldering iron... seriously. I dont see how anyone could rate an LCD monitor with 1 or even 2 stars after lasting 3 years. It's time to update at 6 months anyway.
