"Constant Buzzing Sound at Lower Brightness"
Pros: Great design and price. Clear picture.
Cons: Buzzing sound at brightness less than 96%
Summary: I hooked up this monitor to my macbook last night and at first it was great. No complaints. However, the screen was too bright for me and turned it down from 100%. Well, after about 96% brightness I started to notice a constant buzzing sound coming from the monitor. Turned it back up to 100% brightness and the buzzing stops. The buzzing is noticable below 96% brightness. I called Samsung support and they said the refresh rate should be set at 60Hz and resolution at 1680x1050, which it was. They couldn't solve the buzzing problem. I will return mine for a full refund because I'm not sure if this is a bad monitor or a known issue that consumers have to live with. It's too bad because otherwise it is a nice monitor.

Unfortunately, lowering the brightness causes a buzzing sound in many LCDs. I guess it's worth complaining about anyway b/c it causes me to leave the brightness up all the way, all of the time. That's not cool.
