"Samsung always delivers."
Pros: Amazing specs, great picture.
Cons: no DVI connection.
Summary: Whenever I'm looking for a new monitor, I immediately go Samsung because i have always been satisfied with their products. Sure you can get many other 17" LCD monitors for much less (and even this model is considered cheap) but the warranties are questionable, not to mention the specifications are terrible.
The picture on this thing is absolutely great, at an amazing price, it's impossible not to get it if you're in the market for a 17" spend the extra couple bucks and get this over a generic brand. It's got a great 600:1 contrast ratio, 8ms grey-to-grey response time and a standard 1280x1024 native resolution. The auto-tune button is fantastic as well.
The only sore spot on this monitor is that it has no DVI connection, only VGA. not that it matters much given the specs on the monitor i have no problems getting it anyway.
