Pros: Best graphic and picture quality I've ever owned, and it sits right next to my new MacBook Pro without a difference. I use this monitor for professional video and graphic work, but also watch movies on this all the time. Its also very slim and light!

Cons: Almost nothing to complain about besides there being only a DVI output and the base became wobbly after I had taken the it apart a couple times due to moving locations of my office, but at first it was firm (so plan on keeping it intact).

Summary: The bottom line is you won't get a better monitor for this price. And to think you'll get a better monitor is really going to be a stretch considering both Apple and Dell use the Samsung technology for the monitors and then hike up the price.

I bought this monitor for one sole purpose, and that was to edit HD video and work on high res graphic projects for my company. I haven't come across any problems yet, and I've look for them!

To me the best part is matching it up with my new 17 in MacBook Pro (matt high def screen) and comparing the quality of them. I was able to quickly change the monitors settings to make it exactly the same for color and crisp detail depth! At first I wasn't sure if that would work, but within a few minutes I had them the same.

Also, I wouldn't know how much an back LED light makes any difference with this 50,000 to 1 contrast ration, it seems like a minor enhancement, but video quality to me is already very good.

Definitely go out and buy one rather than the DELL unless the price is the same! And unless you absolutely need the Aluminum aesthetic of an Apple monitor, you'll get the exact same quality with this monitor and save more than $500 dollars!

Pros: It's the absolute best looking monitor out there. As someone who is obsessed with the design aesthetic of things, I was really hoping for this to be the perfect solution as anything else currently available lacks far behind in design.

Cons: Gray colours appear to have a cremeish/yellowish tint, tested the monitor on several computers, the tint persisted. The background of programs such as Photoshop, top bars of programs, and even in photos, grays essentially appear beige.

Summary: As a professional photo editor, when closely editing and reviewing photographs, the yellow tint is a huge fault, and one which as rendered this monitor as useless to me. There is no true greyscale with this unless the hue is tinted with blue, in which the monitor will display it as gray. I have purchased two seperate monitors in hopes it was a glitch, but alas both have the yellow tint.

Samsung offerred to inspect the monitor, but have not since replied to my questions, so waiting on my options. It's a new monitor, and maybe this issue was overlooked. How? I have no idea, it's pretty noticeable.

Sadly, due to my profession, performance and accuracy over rule design, and I will have to keep looking, or wait for Samsung to fix this.
