"Great Hybrid"on by silentlun
Pros - Has 1 DVI and VGA just in case i wanted to hook another machine up to the monitor.
- 2 hdmi ports, I plan to hook up to my HD4870 graphics card to try out the HD features.
- 1 component to hook up with my XBOX 360
- DTV tuner
Cons - The speakers are a bit weak
- Power "button" is not very sensitive. (just use the remote)
- Attracts dust
Summary I bought this monitor because I wanted something I could hook up my Xbox 360 and my newly built desktop together. The colors of this is very vivid. However when you first turn it on the colors are a little heavy on the blue. Quick fix is to just go into the Menu and change the display settings to WARM. I turned off dynamic contrast because I found it kind of annoying where the black looks faded when the majority of the screen is displaying a black color. It displays my Xbox 360 at 1080P. Played Force Unleashed, Soulcalibur 4, Gears of War 2 on it. All had amazing colors and rendering on this TV/Monitor. Had to set the monitor to just scan to get 1080P if not it'll stretch it a little to 1900x1200. which is fine sometimes. You really don't notice the thin black bars when you start playing. The weak speakers can be fixed if you just hooked up some decent computer speakers through the headphone jack on the side. The HDTV tuner is average. I probably need a better antenna to get better Over the Air Digital channels. If you're looking for a mix of a monitor and TV, then this is a great choice. If you just need a monitor or just a TV, you're better off with another one.
Pros 1080P with 10,000:1 contrast ratio. Colors are vibrant. 2 HDMI. Illuminated power button that is touch sensitive. TV tuner. Simple easy to use menus and remote. Component input. Is a monitor
Cons Poor sound (I use Sony wireless headphones anyway). NO COMPOSITE INPUT! Had to buy an RF modulator to convert the composite input into coaxial. The screen appears darker if looked at from below. 16:10 ratio (meaning there are bars on 16:9 pictures.
Summary For the cheap price, you get a TV that has more features than similar TVs of the same size, most of which are only 720P and cost more. The picture quality is superb. The sound isnt the best because of the speaker being in the back. But other than that this is an AMAZING TV! Though the curved top is annoying to try and put the sensor bar for the Wii onto. The illuminated button if fully controllable, you can adjust the brightness of it, have it only be on if the tv is on, always, or just in standby. I would recomend this TV to anyone who wants a decent size HDTV for a low price. Oh and it looks great as a computer monitor too!
Pros got this from office depot (new for 299.00 ) an i got the 2 year replacement after the samsung 3 years warrenty. I love the Size (25.5) and the TV works great .... I also just got a blueray player and this monitor haws 2 hdmi ports .
Cons I has 1 dead pixel ... but I don't really notice, and in Tv or Hdmi mode ... I don't see the pixel at all
and the remote is kinda weird ( some time I can't tell which end is up )
Summary Bottom line I got a great monitor for a great price ( must be an older model ) I am working with Samsung Customer service now as I just returned a monitor that I thought was out of warrenty but still has 2 years and Samsung CS has been really great I sent the old monitor back last week, free shipping Voucher over the internet ..... Pros Super Sharp Picture,Grat Contast. The usual Super Samsung software installed in the Monitor/HDTV.
Cons Nothing! The Samsung T260HD is The Bomb!
Summary The Best Buy for your dollar I can find.
Pros Easy hook up, Great for use with my Macbook(DVI), hd cable box(HDMI), and Panasonic SA-PTX7 digital jukebox (HDMI).
great value for money, easy on the eyes with good color representation, looks good on my desk with the touch of color!
Cons the only negatives I can add are I wish both HDMI inputs were on the back "one is on the side." as well, the 2-3 second lag time when switching from one input source to another, that extra second can really irritate me.
Summary I would buy the same monitor again. After having some bad luck with Samsung monitors in the past, I took a chance buying this one, as it had all the features I was looking for, and the price was good, under 500 including the optional vesa adapter. I use it all the time @ my desk as both a addition to my mac and as a replacement for the 32' trinitron I dropped. Very Pleased with this display.
