"Thank God for Costco Return Policy" on by cal_mishdoob
Pros: Everything I read and heard said this is a great monitor and I was not disappointed with the final result. Games play great and you can view two documents, side by side. I love it.
Cons: Monitor 1: Four dead pixels in one cube.
Monitor 2: A smattering of dead pixels (5 - 10) scattered across the screen.
Monitor 3: A gray cloud of pixels (100s?) on the upper left quadrant of screen.
Monitor 4: Works great.Summary: The monitor (when not defective) is a great monitor, beautiful colors, great size.
However, I would suggest that you know the store's return policy prior to buying it as you might have to return it more than once.
I expected more from Samsung. -
"Excellent Monitor" on by pamathieu
Pros: Sharp characters, vivid colors, 25.5 " screen
Cons: Non adjustable for height or tilt
Summary: I am using two of these side by side for video editing on a high end video card with dual dvi outputs. When set to the native resolution of these screens at 1920 X 1200, the images are superb. Anything less than this resolution is not a good match and you will be disappointed. Having been in the computer business for 38 yrs, I have owned/repaired a lotof monitors and this is one sweet display. The pricing is decent for a 1080p 25.5" monitor with a tuner built in as well.
Over the air HD signals come in great as well (I'm in close proximity to strong signals) and you can't beat free TV, especially HD programming. -
"mnoitor,tv,remote, and lots of connections" on by huskystafford
Pros: -looks big and expencive-good osd buttons-easy to configure-like the remote-picture is ok-no ghosting-if u need tv and monitor isnt expensive-no dead pixels-teletext-parental control-sllep timer and alarm clock-no dead pixels
Cons: -no usb hub -no dvi kabel -hate the stand(stand is better with lg 2600h-pf- no wall mounting-
Summary: I have this samsung t260 hd and Lg w2600h-pf.Both of them i calibrated with calibrator spyder3elite and the picture is just the same. The text is the same just like movies are.Theres no ghosting in Lg,but theres no ghosting in T260hd either. Both of them need calibration just like all monitor need it.When monitor is calibrated the colors are ok.This two arent proffesional monitors so u need to know that black color isnt realy black. Its more like very dark gray.Thats because they use tn panels for fast response monitors suitable for gaming and watching movies not for digital design.Quality of the colors are almost the same in Lg and samsung t260hd.U cant go wrong no matter what ull buy.Lg is cheaper,so if u dont need a sexy tv and remote buy lg.If u like remote and no dvi kabel buy samsung for more money.T260hd looks biger and more powerfull

"Better than expected" on by phftttt
Pros: Great monitor, great HDTV. I use it for both
Cons: Speakers are not the best but I hooked up some good 2.1 speakers with woofer and the sound is great.
Summary: I needed a larger monitor due to my eyesight. I looked at many PC monitors and was going to buy the HP 27 inch at $329. I found this at Office Depot for $299 and liked the idea of an HDTV with internal tuner.
Easy to hook/setup right out of the box. I split my cable internet input between my cable modem and the monitor. I set the TV up to scan cable. It found approximately 75 channels of both digital and HD TV. The digital channels are good to very good but the HD channels are fantastic, just as good as my 50" Panny plasma. I've starting watching HDTV more on this monitor than my big screen simply because I'm on the net a lot. Very easy to switch between the two and is almost instantaneous.
As a monitor I'm using the VGA cable since my laptop doesn't have a DVI connection and the picture is excellent. YouTube comes across clear and crisp as do other videos. With the magnifier on Windows 7 I can get a very good range of picture size. Easy to read fine print and small details. Pictures look sharp and detailed.
I would easily recommend this monitor/HDTV for both viewings. -
"Excellent HDTV Monitor" on by blue55
Pros: Clear, runs cool, brilliant colors, has a TV tuner, stereo speakers. In every corner of the screen, this unit is bright, sharp and clear. I have had this for 10 months now. Flawless operation.
Cons: Wished it had Picture in Picture and an adjustable heigth stand. The stand raises the unit 4" off the table. Would have preferred adjustable 4"-8" stand.
Summary: This is a vast change from a 17" monitor. I have a 17" widescreen laptop. It's good for what it is and does, but this is the montor to have. Prices have dropped 150.00 since I bought this in Dec. 08. Very pleased.
