HDMI signal must contain the audio signal for use of speakers.
No headphone jack
No VGA port
Ports come out to the right 3" for the edge of the display, so i can visibly see my cables, which also are Very close the the buttons.

Summary: This works with my macbook (4 years old) great, some have complained about the text looking "blocky". This can be easily solved by turning down sharpness, and the picture looks smooth yet still very crisp. This display is Very Glossy, The best way to imagine it is that is Very similar to the new macbook pro's glass screen (I dont believe this displays glass) where it seams to be a mirror. If your desk is set up with a window behind you, you will be very disappointed with the results. The Speakers are not bad for a Display, but then again, i have never found ANY tv to have satisfying speakers. If you plan to use the display as a monitor for your computer, and plan to take advantage of the built in speakers, be aware that your computer must output the audio via HDMI. I am Overall VERY Happy with this display, (did not test simulview, It's just for me to play on), and would recommend this at the on sale price ($299) but not at full price.
