Cons: Not good if you want a 50 inch 3D TV.
Summary: Bottom line is if you don't need to see 3D on a 50 inch plus screen get this. It does what it should very well. If you already own the new PS3 remote, you have one for this monitor. Without the extra's (HDMI, game, glasses) the monitor cost about $250 which isn't that bad at all.

Quick questions, if I may...When you refer to "the new PS3 remote"...
(a) I am guessing you mean the one which has "Sony PS3" labelled at the bottom of the remote and with the "3D" button at the top?
(b) And NOT the PS3 Blu-Ray Disc Remote Control with Bluetooth?
(c) I also have a Sony Remote for my Sony Surround Sound system.
So,if I get the Sony Playstation 3D monitor, do you know which of the first two remotes would be better or do u know of any universal Sony remote?
Lastly, are you still recommending the Sony PS 3D Monitor "for the intended consumer" - which is also me; and are you as impressed with it in 2D? Thanks very much.
