"Truly the best value"
Pros: Great price, great definition, great size, great contrast, great extras
Cons: I can't find any yet...
Summary: As a professional video editor, I was looking to replace my slightly blurry 21" NEC CRT with 2 sleek new LCD's. Not having really investigated the specs and features of most LCD's, I pretty much started from scratch with sites like this that reviewed them. And I had decided on 19" or above. After comparing all the pertinent info in each category and from different manufacturers, I decided on the Dell for the features and the unbelievable price (I got 2 for $300 each from Dell).
Upon receiving the monitors, it was extremely easy to set them up and get them configured with my dual DVI Nvidia Quadro4 900XGL video card. I wasn't altogether sure I was going to like the jump doing video editing and graphic design with some LCD's instead of my trusty CRT, but I'm glad I decided on the 1905fp. After about :30 seconds with these things I was convinced that I had made the right decision. Text is crisp. Colors are vibrant (even better than my CRT). Brightness is...well...bright. Some test video in my Avid editing application looks very good. Why did I wait so long to get some of these?!! Now I can't wait to edit my next video project.
